Thank you to Local Businesses and Organizations who Donated to our Raffle

Community Service of Newburyport, Inc. (CSN) is a privately funded, 501c3 non-profit that was established in 1912. We have a long history of fully-funding ‘camperships’ for children from low-income households from Newburyport, Newbury and West Newbury.

Attending camp can offer a life-changing opportunity for a young person to explore a passion or develop a new skill…all while making summer memories with friends.

The Board of Directors and Advisory Board of CSN recently organized their 4th Annual “Send Kids to Camp!” Raffle. Three themed baskets valued at $1,700 each were raffled to fund the camperships. CSN would like to thank each person who purchased raffle tickets or made a donation to help send local children to camp. 100% of the raffle proceeds will be used for the campership fund. With your support, we were able to raise more than $30,000 through donations and raffle ticket sales. CSN will be fully funding close to 40 local children to attend camp this summer, including Merrohawke Nature Camp, North Shore Nature Camp, Taste Buds Kitchen, Tennis Camp, UNH Athletics Hockey Camp, UNH Athletics Skating Camp, St. John’s Multisport Camp, Skateboard Camp and Acting Out! Theater Camp.

CSN is very grateful to the generous businesses who donated to the raffle baskets: The Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, Jabberwocky Bookstore, Affamata, Chococoa Baking Co. & Café’, The Firehouse Center for the Arts, Ould Newbury Golf Club, The Newburyport Art Association, Tuscan Grille, BC Essentials, Joy Nest, Michelle Champion Fine Art, The Goat, Marathon Sports, Choice Fitness Elite, Kelley Service Station, The Screening Room, Port City Sandwich Co., Epicureo Pizza, Port Vida Mexican Cantina, Michael’s Harborside, Harbor Creamery, Oregano Ristorante, Kin Fitness, Riverside Cycle, Newburyport Lighting , Jody Trail Design, Leavitt & Co., Joppa Fine Foods, Pretty Poppy, Beach Plum Flower Shop, Kelly’s Ace Hardware, Christine Molitor Johnson Fine Art and Spellman Art and Illustration. A big shout out to Mayor Sean Reardon for drawing the winning tickets on May 27 th! Details about the campership raffle results may be found on the News page of our website. Please consider supporting the work of CSN as we help our local neighbors, of all ages from Newbury, Newburyport, and West Newbury throughout the year .
